Blooms of our Existence
Kristina Ivy
We are healing from a harsh winter as nature would have it. These past few months have brought us record cold temperatures and unpredictable weather! Spring's first blooms are on the verge of popping- some already have. The best part of winter is the necessity to take it slow- sometimes even hibernate. This is the chance to nurture ourselves as winter prepares for spring's re-birth. A bit of magic in being alive is that we have personal seasons, as unique as everyone's heartbeat. Skin is an external reflection of our inner seasons, and during the year's tougher months, there is nothing so renewing as taking time to soak in an Oat and Honey Milk Bath, with a dancing flame from a Honeysuckle candle, as you drift warmly into a dream; Follow this by oiling up to seal the healing- your day can start over any moment and a new season can begin. Personal blooms come in many forms- both seen and unseen, but they are as real as the first burst of a magnolia flower and as re-assuring as a crocus bud poking out of the snow, searching for the sun and ready for a new beginning.
